Sonia is an experienced HR Executive with over 25 years’ experience in human resource management, industrial relations, facilitation, mediation, policy development and teaching. She has worked in Victoria, Western Australia and Asia in private, not for profit and Government clients.
Outside of her people management practice, Sonia has served on the Board of Melbourne Fringe Festival and volunteers in community development and education at Banksia Gardens Community Services in Melbourne’s outer West.
Born in London, brought up in Australia and proudly Malayalee, Sonia and her partner have three adult sons.
Sonia’s special interests include workplace conflict, wellbeing and inclusion. She is a passionate supporter of the arts and public education. Sonia has been a guest and conference speaker on topics such as culture change, community equity and managing change.
She has worked with the Federal Court of Australia, Deloitte Australia, Arts Centre Melbourne, WorkSafe Victoria, La Trobe University, the University of Western Australia, Victoria Police, Medical Panels Victoria, BankVic, Safe Transport Victoria, Fair Wage Inspectorate, TEAR Australia, Moonee Valley Council, Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, Suburban Rail Loop Authority, Tournament of Minds Australia, Back to Back Theatre, Theatre Network Australia and the City of Perth.
